C.I.D. is the investigating wing of the State Police, functioning under an Additional Director General of Police and is located at Raja Rani Kothi, near Nepal House, Doranda, Ranchi. The Primary role of the C.I.D., is to monitor the investigation of Cases, guide the investigating officers and to investigate important cases. |

| KIDNAPPED GIRL RECOVERED |
In Doranda P.S. Ranchi Case No. 116/05 dated 22-04-2005 u/s 366(A)/34IPC, the minor girl kidnapped from Ranchi, was recovered from Surat (Gujarat) by Police Inspector CID Ashok Kumar and his team. The accused have been arrested and charge sheet submitted. |
KIDNAPPED INDUSTRIALIST RECOVERED |
In Parasudih P.S. Jamshedpur Case No. 45/2005 dated 12-04-2005 u/s /365(A) IPC, various teams of CID officers were sent to Patna, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Rohtas, Jamshedpur and Calcutta to assist the district Police and the kidnapped industrialist Jairam Singh was recovered from Patna on 17-05-2005 .

In Lalpur P.S. Ranchi Case No. 119/05 dated 30.09.05 u/s 364(A) IPC, the kidnapped Jeweller Prash Mukherjee was recovered by district Police,with the valuable and sustained contribution of CID team.

In Chaupa Chauparan P.S. vide Distt. Hazaribagh, case no. 208/05 dated 18-11-2005 u/s 364(A), 379/34 IPC, the professional and timely inputs provided by the CID Team,finally led the recovery of the kidnapped Additional Income Tax Commissioner Shri Swetabh Suman from Charki Crematorium, Gawa P.S. Giridih District. Thus a sensational case was solved. |
